At Silly Yak Foods our primary mission is the manufacture of food which is 100% wheat free and gluten free for people with coeliac disease.
However, we recognise that in the modern world food allergies and intolerances are growing rapidly. We make every effort to provide products which are also free of other common allergens.
As people with coeliac disease are often also dairy-intolerant, particularly in the early stages after diagnosis when the small intestine has not yet had sufficient time to heal, a high proportion of our products are also dairy free.
Where it is possible, and where the specific allergen can be eliminated from a recipe without unduly compromising the taste, texture and quality of that recipe, specific Silly Yaks products are also egg free, soy free, nut free or yeast free. If you have specific requirements for your food to be free of some or all of these allergens, please refer to the product specification pages for details of the “free from” status of individual products.
Please note, however, that while we separate manufacturing processes to ensure that the “free from” status of our products is as documented on the labels, all of our products are manufactured in a facility in which the following are processed:
- Corn products;
- Dairy products;
- Eggs and egg products;
- Meat products;
- Soy products;
- Tree nuts;
- Yeast.
